Vintage Year Discussion

    Subject:Looking for advice
    Year:1922
    Hi,

My wife bought a bottle of 1922 Warre's vintage at a charity auction recently and having little experience with old ports I was hoping to ask a few questions.

1)I've read a few favorable reviews of this vintage but any thoughts would be appreciated

2)How long should this continue to improve--so close to a century I'm thinking of keeping it to that point.

3)Carewise--bottle upright or on its side? The cork looks to have leaked a few drops at some point as it is a bit sticky on one edge. One person told me to recork it one told me that dried sticky wine reseals leaks and not to recork old vintage bottles...

4)When we are ready... Decant for a few hours first?
