Kopke 1978

Does anyone have any idea how much this bottle would go for? I've been told around $200. I brought it back from by trip to Portugal 5 years ago when visiting family, traded it with my grand-father for a regular Port of approx. $20! I opened it this year the night before my wedding, and definitely worth the wait! However, someone told me it might not have been the best year to open it. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!

A 1978 Kopke Colheita goes for about $65. I don't know what you mean by "the best year to open it." Colheitas are aged and then bottled ready to drink. It sounds like it was enjoyable.
