| Review: | Big and concentrated, with a massive tannin structure and loads of very sweet fruit. IT goes on and on on the palate. Very impressive and muscular. This single quinta really excelled in 2003. Great pedigree, too. I once had the 1865 Roriz and it was fantastic.<p> James Suckling, |

| Notes: | The 2003 Roriz futures are already sold out in Ontario stores, but I got to taste it at the Toronto 2005 IVP Port Tasting. Colour was dark as expected, but was a little murky when you looked closer. The 2003 being so young should not have been murky. The aroma had a very irregular smell that confused both myself and my tasting partner. This odd smell may have come from that specific bottle, but none the less, it damaged the rest of the tasting. The wine had a good balance and had a nice subtle taste of the grapes, but overall was very sweet. The sweetness should dismiss over the years that this vintage will require to age. |
