| Wine: | 2003 Prager Vintage |
| Notes: | The PR agency for Prager's told me that this wine may be opened this holiday season, although it could also be aged for a few more years. So, I took a chance and tried it early. Very dark in colour. The odor was very fruity with no oak wood at all. The aromas of blackberry and black current came through very well. It had a very nice fruity nose. The flavour was like sweet fruit jam with alcohol. It had very little tannins and zero pepper. The fruit overpowered everything else. To me and my guests it reminded us of fruit jam that you could 'put on pancakes'. It was very drinkable if you like very sweet ports that are typical of New World Ports (US & Australia). |
