| Notes: | For a number of years now, Niepoort have produced a second label Vintage Port - sometimes in fully declared vintages, sometimes not. You will need no reminder of what an extraordinary vintage 1997 was for Niepoort. The Petre's 1997 is effectively the "off cuts" of the Niepoort 1997, offering a slightly earlier maturing port, but still with plenty of grip and concentration. Every inch a fine vintage port. Petre's 1997 Vintage Port represents an excellent value proposition from an outstanding year. This is not a port for label-seekers or investors, but will be something of a bargain for port drinkers. Whilst drinking now, we would suggest it will continue to develop until around 2020.
