1994 Pocas Vintage

User Tasting Notes

Notes:Another good inexpensive vintage port (available through Trader Joe's at under $15) is a 1987 Morgado. Porto Morgado is bottled by Forrester & Co, who also bottle Offley. The wine has good color and is medium bodied. The first bottle I opened was slightly reminiscent of a Dow's...a bit peppery and austere. I enjoyed another bottle recently and tasted currants. All-in-all a good vintage port for the price.

Notes:Great wine to have if you want a vintage, but there is no occasion. Firm tannin, and plenty of chewy berry flavors. Cross between the Dow's raspberry, and Graham's prune flavor.

Well worth the price
