Notes:I re-tasted this Colheita over the holidays with some friends. I was initially disappointed with it compared to what I remembered from the Port Tasting several months ago.

But, it grew on me again.

Its colour was a beautiful amber. Not as light as I remember, but still nice.

There was a lot of oak wood on the nose plus a pleasant surprise odor of almonds.

Its flavour had hints of honey, walnuts and a light raspberry tinge. The tannins were perfect for a Colheita.

    Still a very reccomendable colheita.

Notes:I tasted this wine at the Toronto IDVP 2006 Port Tasting and it was the best of the evening (even though it wasn't a vintage Port).

It had a beautiful copper colour that was extremely light for a 1988.

Smokey caramel flavour that reminded me of a mix between flan and a good scotch. There was a hint of peach in the finish and it was very light on pepper.

This wine is a great and inexpensive Colheita!
