1967 Barros Colheita Tawny

Wine Information

User Tasting Notes

Notes:The 1967 Colheita Port has been selected from the best lots produced in that year's harvest. It is matured in V.N. Gaia, in oakwood casks of 600 L, until it is bottled. During its ageing, the Wine is under a careful enologic control, in order to develop the best characteristics. Bottled for an immediate drinking, the wine can however be kept for many years, if the bottles are stored in a fresh and dark place. In April 2000 this Port presented an ambar colour, characteristic of the Tawnies more than 30 years old, with delicate and strong aromas, specially dry fruits such as almond, nut and hazelnut and a sweet, fresh, velvet and very persistent tasting. Last year, this Port entered the "Challenge International du Vin" in Bordeaux (France), where it has been awarded the top distinction -- Gold Medal + CIVART Trophee.
